Data collected
Account: username, email, language, hashed password, two-factor authentication. Reading: followed series, progress, notification preferences. Teams: membership and role. Security: IP address and browser of sessions, log of sensitive actions. Takedown requests: the information you provide.
Why
To run your account and your reading (performance of the service), to send the emails you chose (consent, which you can withdraw at any time), to protect the site and meet legal obligations (legitimate interest, legal obligation).
Cookies
Necessary: your sign-in session and your language. Analytics: Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, 13 months at most) to count visits and page views; Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies. Readers: when you open a chapter, a “visitor” cookie (a random id, 13 months at most, never linked to your account) makes each reader of a chapter count once a day; these reads only feed statistics (ranking, team stats) and are deleted after 90 days. No advertising cookies. You can refuse Google Analytics cookies by blocking them in your browser or with Google’s opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
Recipients
The host (Cloudflare), the email delivery service and the CDN serving images, only to run the service. Analytics: Google (Google Analytics, data that may be transferred to the United States under the Data Privacy Framework) and Cloudflare (Web Analytics). No data is sold.
Retention
As long as your account exists. When you delete it, your personal data is erased; only the records the law requires remain, without your name (moderation log, takedown requests).
Your rights
Access and portability: "My account → Download my data". Erasure: "My account → Delete my account". Correction: from your account, or at [email protected]. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
